News: The Xbox 360 Elite is effectively $250 from now until October 5.
Microsoft dropped the price of the Xbox 360 Elite to $299 less than a month ago. Today, Microsoft announced they're temporarily dropping the price again (through a rebate that is). Anyone that purchases an Xbox 360 Elite between September 22 and October 5 can go to Xbox.com/eliterebate and receive $50 back from Microsoft, making the final price of an Elite $249. As of right now, visiting the site produces an error message, but I'm sure it'll be live later today.
It doesn't appear that those who purchased an Elite after the initial price drop in August will be eligible to redeem the rebate.
