News: October 5 in the US, October 7 in Europe.



Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be releasing stateside on October 5th. Europeans will unfortunately have to wait a full 48 hours to play the new Castlevania as it won't release until October 7th across the pond.

The story follows Gabriel Belmont as he tries to save his wife from the afterlife, after she has been murdered.

This is a new direction for the Castlevania franchise. You will still be playing as a Belmont with a whip, but Lords of Shadow is being approached as a reboot of the franchise.

Konami made the announcement at this year's Gamescom event. In honor of the European E3, they also released a brand new trailer for the game, which you can view right here:
