News: We're in the room with Reggie! Find out all of the details about Nintendo's North American 3DS launch as it happens in NYC.

Further Updates Are Rolling In Now
So, let's break out into individual posts now that the big announcements are coming in:

Friend Codes Return with Nintendo 3DS, But You'll Only Need One

Super Street Fighter IV, Pro Evolution Soccer, Madden NFL, more go 3D for Nintendo 3DS

Official: Nintendo 3DS Release Date is March 27 in the US

Revealed: Nintendo 3DS Priced at $249.99

09:21 AM Sven different third-party publishers are present.

09:19 AM Steeldiver announced. Uses the built-in gyroscope to turn and target the periscope. Reggie is also mentioning games like Pilotwings, Nintendogs + Cats, Kid Icarus, Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D. All games we've previously known about.

09:15 AM The Nintendo 3DS will include an Accelerometer and Gyroscope, allowing players to tilt the system for gameplay purposes.

09:12 AM A video is playing. Accepts 3DS and DS Games, plays downloadable DS games, an SD card slot (includes a 2GB SD card!).

09:11 AM "Today we'll be announcing price, launch date, titles in the launch window and other important news."

09:09 AM It can deliver 3D video playback and photography. "Would it be great to have a 3D picture of a child and be able to play it back on the same device for years to come"

09:07 AM Nintendo of America President and CEO Reggie Fils-Aime has taken the stage, going through the history of Nintendo's 3D advancements from Super Mario Bros. 64 on Nintendo 64 to today, the impending launch of 3DS. In this case, "the most obvious change of course is 'No Glasses'"

09:00 AM: We're live from Skylight Soho in New York City, where Nintendo is about to announce long-awaited details about its upcoming 3DS handheld. We first saw the glass-free 3D system at E3 2010, where I opined that the 3DS is Like LASIK for 3D Video Games. The screen-popping graphics technology was impressive, but we were left with many questions:
  • How much will Nintendo 3DS cost?
  • When will Nintendo 3DS launch?
  • What games will Nintendo 3DS launch with?

We hope to get those questions answered today and be dazzled by the system seven months after initially laying hands on it.
