News: Call of Duty MW3 reveal trailer hits YouTube, sets the stage for WW3.

The first gameplay video of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hit YouTube last night, just in case you weren't watching Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals and are unsure which sport that pertains to. And, who can blame you for not watching ESPN at a time like this? After all, you're probably busy preparing for WW3, which, according to this reveal trailer, occurs on November 8, the confirmed release date for CoD: MW3.

The MW3 trailer runs a second shy of a minute and a half, but that's a minute and a half more than the gameplay from the previous teaser trailer. That teaser had zero gameplay footage and, humorously, mixed up a few of our readers who said it "doesn't look very good." After seeing the intense firefights and close-to-home destruction in this stunning reveal trailer, I'm sure they'll reconsider their opinion.

This trailer does have one thing in common with the debut teaser: it spans the United States and Europe while the population of the western world in under attack from the Russians. New York City, England, France and Germany are predominately in the sights of these Russian terrorists, although we know that there is more to the single-player campaign mode than that. Washington, D.C., Dubai, Sierra Leone, Prague, Czech Republic and Moscow are supposed to be part of the action when all is said and done.

For now, we're enjoying, with our jaws dropped, seeing instantly recognizable landmarks like Wall Street and New York City's Financial District, the UK Tube, the Eiffel Tower and downtown Berlin take center stage. In my opinion, that's exactly what Homefront should've done instead of focusing on generic suburban environments. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hits more close to home than Homefront.
