Limbo PS3, Steam News: The PS3 release date for Limbo is July 19 in America, July 20 in Europe; Steam gets the game August 2.
Limbo, the critically acclaimed XBLA platform game from the summer of 2010, is finally making its way to gamers who don't own an Xbox 360. Denmark developer Playdead said that the port of its puzzle-platform title will debut on the PS3 here in America on July 19. That will be followed by a July 20 release in Europe. Considering the eight-hour time difference between Los Angeles and London, that's almost the same day, so don't feel too badly PAL gamers.
This quirky-and-dark downloadable game is also coming to Steam as well, but not until August. Its worldwide release on Steam is set for Tuesday, August 2. When the game launched on XBLA last summer, it cost $15. While Playdead was quick to reveal the release date, the company didn't specify a price today. Here's to hoping that the $15 pricepoint from 2010 translates to $5 less in 2011.
