F1 2011 first trailer video is below
Codemasters recently released the very first
F1 2011 gameplay trailer, showing off its proprietary EGO game engine that has powered almost everything the company publishes, from
Dirt 2 to the latest
Operation: Flashpoint game. In this minute-and-a-half trailer we get an overview of an empty track waiting to be raced on, the spectators watching the racers come to the starting line and, eventually the cars taking off. After a few wheel-based camera perspectives, the racing action finally gets underway at around 30 seconds into the trailer and hairpin turns with stylish - albeit unplayable at these cool angles - quick camera cuts.
F1 2011 for PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC looks to build upon the positively reviewed F1 2010, which Codemasters put out a year ago. The publisher has been in control of the Formula One license since F1 2009, which was a Wii and PSP title that didn't live up to the standards of this highest class of single seater auto racing. There is a pair of handheld versions of the game in the works, but for the more advanced PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS. There's no video footage of these two iterations of F1 2011 just yet.
At the end of this console trailer, F1 2011's release date is prominently shown as September 20 here in North America. For all of the European fans out there who love Formula One racing, the F1 2011 release date is September 23 in the UK and, for those down under, the Australian release date is a day earlier, September 22.
