3DS Slide Pad News: Nintendo 3DS Slide Pad will be used by games including: Monster Hunter 3 G, Resident Evil Revelations, MGS Snake Eater 3D, Kingdom Hearts 3D.

Nintendo 3DS Slide Pad Games

When Nintendo announced the ugly, but convenient 3DS Slide Pad attachment at Tokyo Games Show 2011, our first question was: УWhich games are going to support the Slide Pad?Ф The answer, so far, is six top-tier games: Monster Hunter Tri G (called Monster Hunter 3 G in Japan), Resident Evil Revelations (Biohazard Revelations in Japan), Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater, Ace Combat 3: Cross Rumble, Dynasty Warriors Vs. and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

The 3DS games that Nintendo has listed are not launch Slide Pad games by any means. For example, in Japan, Monster Hunter 3 G, the first game to use the Slide Pad, has a December 10 release date. Meanwhile, Resident Evil Revelations isn't coming out until early 2012 and Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater and Ace Combat 3: Cross Rumble are both schedule for winter. Dynasty Warriors Vs. has an ambiguous У2012Ф release date. And Kingdom Hearts 3D? Forget about it. It's just listed as УUndecided.Ф

While the Nintendo 3DS Slide pad has its drawbacks, namely an ugly attachment design and a AAA battery requirement, developers are reportedly excited about it. The inclusion of the second circle pad opens up new possibilities, especially in 3D gaming. You have to remember that dual analog sticks have existed since the PlayStation era. Top-tier games like Resident Evil Revelations and MGS Snake Eater are ripe to take advantage of the affordable $20 accessory.

Gaming Target will expand its list of Slide Pad-supported games when Nintendo adds more titles to its preliminary TGS 2011 list.
