Dead Island is a pretty good game, but auto save glitches, multiplayer issues and other technical flaws have been holding it back. While we wait for Techland to clear out the bug infestation, why not tour some of the funniest sites that will soon be disappearing?
Just call her Уold Taffy LegsФ
This one comes from the debug build of Dead Island that was mistakenly released on Steam. It's since been rectified, but not before the public got this hilarious look at the game in third-person. You've got to admire that posture!
Fly over
Since a free flying no clip mode was in the debug build, there have been plenty of fly-over videos of the beautiful Banoi. Kudos to user paulmkrotine for the inspired choice of УSomewhere Over the Rainbow,Ф and for noticing something strange about the ocean floor. Take a look at the 30 second mark, are those roads on the ocean floor?
Black hole bathroom
This Dead Island user is playing as ex-NFL star Logan. Is the fallen footballer really this out of shape, or do these stairs have something against him?
It's Logan versus the stairs again, only this time it's from the perspective of an entertained on-looker in co-op.
Tropical zombies can still freeze
Zombies have it tough on Dead Island. If they're not getting their heads smashed in with a wrench, they're drowning in two feet of water or getting stuck in wall do to a clipping error. At least some players are going around putting them out of their misery.
This visitor is on a relief trip to Dead Island. What a noble soul, they help one zombie with crippling scoliosis, another stuck between a hut and a hard place, and then drown a few in a pool for your amusement. Watch it for some of the funniest zombies noises you'll hear all day.
The amazing flying fail jeep
It takes a powerful glitch to launch a 4x4 that far into the air. With it's absurd hang time, it's almost serene, until the it plummets like Wiley Coyote after looking down.
IGN editors hit an invisible wall
The staff at IGN encountered a real game breaker quite early in the game. They still gave the game an 8.0, which they are quick to mention.
Be sure to check out Gaming Target's review of Dead Island. We still think it's quite the game, glitches and bugs aside.
