Dead Island News: Dead Island's PS3 version has been patched in Europe, but when will the USA get the patch?

Dead Island for PS3 has been patched in Europe, according to the game's official Twitter account. As far the stateside version goes, the developers say it's Уwaiting for approval.Ф

The tropical zombie horror game, which garnered a
7.6 from Gaming Target, has been plagued with graphical issues, lost auto saves, and connectivity issues, most especially on Sony's console. While Xbox 360 gamers got a patch weeks ago, it seems PS3 fans may only have a day or two more to wait before they can get back to smashing zombie skulls online with their friends.

Dead Island's patch will be a lifesaver

As the Уwaiting for approvalФ quote suggests, game makers are not allowed to simply issue any patch they like for download. There is a stringent approval process, and since the last PS3 patch supposedly created the auto save bug Techland is now looking to resolve, you can bet Sony's people are checking their code with a fine-toothed comb.

Excited to get back to Banoi? Check out our collection of Dead Island's goofiest glitches.
