Dead Island News: Delayed so Techland could squash Dead Island's bugs, the tropical Armageddon game finally gets its first piece of DLC.
Dead Island's long-awaited Bloodbath Arena finally has a release date. On November 22, this DLC will bring a horde-style arena mode to the island. It'll be a $10 download, or completely free if you pre-ordered Dead Island at Gamestop.
In Bloodbath Arena, up to four players can import their characters to face wave after wave of zombies. There are four different maps to smash zombies in, but here's the best part: all experience, cash and loot harvested in the arena carries over into campaign. Sounds like a great way to grind; Techland did just
raise the level cap, after all.
Bloodbath Arena is Dead Island's first piece of DLC. Originally scheduled for release a few weeks after Dead Island came out on September 6, it was put on the back-burner so developer Techland could exterminate some of the game's bugs.
