Dead Island News: Dead Island's long-awaited, much-delayed DLC is here. Bloodbath Arena adds horde gameplay on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Dead Island's long-delayed DLC Bloodbath Arena hit the PS Store and Xbox Live Marketplace today. Originally promised for a few weeks after launch, the DLC was delayed so developer Techland could squash Dead Island's notorious bugs.
The DLC will set you back $10, unless you pre-ordered. Bloodbath Arena was actually a pre-order bonus for Gamestop and Steam customers, way back when the game's trailer was going viral. If you're lucky enough to have pre-ordered, you can finally collect your reward.
As it's been described, Bloodbath Arena is essentially a horde mode. It takes the cooperative zombie slaying Dead Island is known for and challenges players to survive wave after wave of slavering undead in four different arenas. Best of all, any experience, cash or gear your character earns will carry over into the campaign's island sandbox.
Other than a few costumes, this is Dead Island's first DLC. Publisher Deep Silver has not yet announced any further DLC plans. Gaming Target is standing by for any release date news.
Did anyone out there pre-order Dead Island? Looking forward to finally collecting your reward? And what about those who didn't pre-order? Is Bloodbath Arena worth $10?
