The newest Call of Duty Elite trailer is accompanied by a YouTube caption that describes former Daily Show correspondent Rob Riggle as a УLt. Colonel.Ф Considering the fact that he parades around like a tough-guy buffoon for the trailer's entire two-and-a-half minute duration, you'd think that his rank is all part of the made-up act. But it turns out that he's currently a Marine Corps reservist and real-life Lieutenant Colonel.
Not only does Riggle combine his talent as a comedian and his role as a Marine in this CoD trailer, he told NPR a little more than two years ago that one of his favorite character types to play in comedy is one with arrogant ignorance. УI love being the big guy in the room that knows it all, but he's got it all wrong.Ф That's exactly how he acts in this over-the-top trailer touting Activision's new subscription service and the first two CoD MW3 maps scheduled to hit Xbox 360 tomorrow.
УOf course, you could wait and get the DLC packs when they drop later,Ф Riggle says before he sets up the pitch. УPay the $15 bucks four times a year, like my grandmother buying a couch on layaway. Or you could join Elite for $50 and get it on! [Explosions].Ф
