The Dragon's Dogma demo released today for Xbox 360 and it is on its way to PS3 gamers in less than 24 hours. This gives you a month head start with the third-person, action RPG from Capcom, as it has a release date of May 22 here in North America. Europe has the typical slightly delayed release date of May 25. No matter the delay and no matter where you live or which system you play the Dragon's Dogma demo on, you still can get started on your quest this week and continue playing the same game when the release date rolls around.
That's right. The Dragon's Dogma demo will allow you to play as two of the game's character classes in two encounters, then export the two classes in the final game. The demo for this single-player open-world fantasy game will allow you to form a party of three Pawns made up of the available Fighter and Strider classes.
The Fighter class in Dragon's Dogma is, obviously, skilled in melee attacks and counterattacks. This enables you to travel down underground tunnels and chambers to take on deadly Chimerian (not to be confused with Resistance: Fall of Man's Chimeran). This all happens in a Prologue quest set before the events of the main game. Meanwhile, the Strider is a more swift and nimble class with bow and dagger weapons. These are suitable for open plains surround the capital Gransys and taking on mighty Griffin enemies.
No matter the class makeup of your three-person party in the Dragon's Dogma demo, it's good to know that they can continue on with you past the Dragon's Dogma release date next month. That's the second perk of this game - the first being that Dragon's Dogma has a playable demo for Resident Evil 6 on the Xbox 360 in July and PS3 in the unfairly more distant September.
Below is a trailer for Dragon's Dogma if you're not just interested in the Resident Evil 6 demo and want to play this Action RPG next month.
