CoD Black Ops 2 pre-order news: Amazon and GameStop are already taking pre-orders for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 pre-orders are already being placed at Amazon, GameStop and every other major retailer. That's fresh off the heels of the first CoD Black Ops 2 trailer and official release date for the fall-bound Xbox 360, PS3 and PC game. The price, on all three platforms, is $59.99. That price includes the PC version. That's right - whether you download it or buy it in stores on the PC, you won't be saving $10 on this 2025-set game. The near-future is more expensive.
So far, we found CoD Black Ops 2 pre-orders being taken on sale at Amazon, GameStop, Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy. This isn't entirely surprising, as retailers know that CoD Black Ops 2 will prove to have record-breaking (or close to it) sales when its November 13 release date rolls around just before the holidays. For the last three years, Call of Duty has become the top video game, with CoD MW3, the first CoD Black Ops and CoD MW2 becoming the top entertainment launch in history.
Obviously, Amazon and the like are trying to keep that video game-buying bonanza in place and maximize the window in which you can pre-order CoD Black Ops 2. Having pre-orders ready on day one was just the first of many incentives being given to jumpstart CoD Black Ops 2 sales. GameStop has even started its pre-order bonuses blitzkrieg, giving away a limited-edition, two-sided poster with a pre-order and a specific Tweet or Instagram photo. This is just "the first waveЭ" of four CoD Black Ops 2 pre-order bonuses between now and October.
