Max Payne 3 PC News: The PC version of Max Payne 3 has been delayed a few days in North America.
PC gamers looking forward to Max Payne 3 will have to wait even longer, as the release date for this version of game has been delayed from May 29 to June 1. This is tough news to take, as Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers have been able to enjoy the cinematic third-person shooter for over a week now. Of course, Rockstar Games tried to spin the news saying that it was going with a worldwide launch, which the console version didn't enjoy.
УOur community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn't make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC,Ф said Jennifer Kolbe, VP of Publishing. УDue to production and logistical issues we could not bring the European launch forward, so we worked with US retail to align with the original European launch window and set a new global release date of June 1.Ф
I'm not sure which УcommunityФ in North America prefers to have their game delayed even more just because their European brethren can't get it at the same time. In any event, Rockstar Games went on to deliver more spin - this time truthful - citing all of the positive reviews that Max Payne 3 has gotten in the last eight days. So far, console versions of Max Payne 3 have gotten perfect review scores from Playstation: The Official Magazine, Gamesradar, The Guardian and G4TV.
So here's the formula: PR Уrelease date delayФ spin = bad, Max Payne 3 review scores = good.
