Skyrim News: The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has a new mod dubbed MinerFriends - Minecraft, which transports Steve and his house to the PC via Steamworks.

Skyrim mod MinerFriends - Minecraft

The best Skyrim mod video we have come across this week is called MinerFriends - Minecraft, a mod that includes familiar elements from Minecraft just north of Helgen. The ironic thing about this Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim mod is that it turns the meta game (Minecraft) on its blocky head, as that's usually the game used to recreate other games.

In addition to wonderful irony, Skyrim modder poisu555 used Steamworks to place Minecraft's Steve, his house and a bunch of enemies and crafting tools into the Skyrim world. There's a green creeper that blows up in the beginning of the video and a bunch of crafting tools explored by the video narrator in the end. You'll see a tanning rack, grindstone, work bench, forge, smelter, chopping block, or at least Skyrim's accurate interpretation of them.

Throughout the video you'll see the gamer interact (and save) Steve (you don't actually play as him) and have his character ride a pixelated pig like it's a horse. Sadly, this Steamworks mod is only available on the PC and poisu555 is a non-English speaking modder, according to his brief Steamworks page statement: УAdd Mr.Minecraft and his house near the riverwood, and some Minecraft mobs around there. I'm sorry, I do not understand English.Ф Nevertheless, people have given him 16 pages of notes just in case. The overall sentiment of this work-in-progress is Уgood, we want to seem more.Ф

We're just glad that this Elder Scrolls: Skyrim meets Minecraft news story has nothing to do with another Bethesda-Mojang УscrollsФ lawsuit.
