Borderlands 2 News: With the Borderlands 2 release date less than two months away, 2K Games announced the PC version has begun digital pre-orders.
Borderlands 2 is the one game that wants me to boot up my PC again and put my MacBook Pro into sleep mode. The game, which is also releasing on Xbox 360 and PS3, is a little bit closer to its release date today, as 2K Games announce that online retailers have begun accepting pre-orders, Steam, GameStop and Amazon among them. Amazon is actually giving gamers a 10% on Borderlands 2 when they purchase the original Borderlands GOTY Edition for $7.49.
Pre-ordering Borderlands 2 through digitally works exactly the same way as putting money down on a physical copy of the FPS. It comes with access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club (pictured above), featuring a free download of the Mechromancer character class once she is available.
2K Games also stressed that Borderlands 1 and all of its DLC can be purchased at 75% off through the end of the month at participating digital retailers. Check back for more Borderlands 2 Xbox 360, PS3 and PC updates as its September 18 release date draws ever closer.
