New Skylanders Giants character and toy Swarm introduced

Skylanders Giants News: Skylanders Giants, the toy infused video game for the Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, PC and 3DS, adds to its character list with new interaction figure Swarm.

The Skylanders Giants character list is growing with the introduction of Swarm, one of the eight Giant toys being introducing in the upcoming Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Nintendo 3DS video game. This air-based character joins the seven other Giants that'll debut with Skylanders Giants, and so far the list includes names like Tree Rex, Bouncer and Crusher.

According to Swarm's bio, he was once a prince from a race of insect warriors that dwell inside a giant honeycombed pyramid - a place where he was never permitted to leave. Of course, his growth, not normal among the kind in his hive, forced him into the open world, where he found a calling in the battle between Giants and Arkeyans.

In addition to Giant figures like Swarm, Skylanders Giants will also introduce Series 2 versions of the first game's toys, new normal-sized characters and illuminated LightCore Skylanders. Personally, of another air-based character (although I haven't gotten my hands on Swarm yet to really compare) who goes by the clever name Jet-Vac. His unique ability to hover makes him glide through levels with ease and makes the Skylanders gameplay a little faster paced.

Expect more updates as the Skylanders Giants character list grows and the game's release date of October 21, 2012 nears.
