Kindle Fire HD Cyber Monday News: Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD Cyber Monday discount makes the Amazon tablet starting cost just $129.

Kindle

The best Amazon Cyber Monday deal is for its own Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD, with the starting tablet costing just $129, but only for the next five hours. The Cyber Monday deal for the Kindle Fire expires at the stroke of midnight Pacific time.

The Kindle Fire normally costs $159, so by entering the promo code FIREDEAL, you’re saving a sweet $30 with the today-only discount. After Cyber Monday, it’ll go back up to $159.

Tech specs for the Kindle Fire include a 7-inch color screen and access to 22 million movies, TV shows, songs, books magazines, audio books and apps. Apps include Netflix (for even more movies), HBO GO, Prime Instant Video, Pandora and games like Angry Birds.

The Kindle Fire, in addition to browsing, has apps for both Facebook and Twitter. Accessing these popular apps and sites has to be done over Wi-Fi, as this isn’t a 3G tablet.

Kindle Fire HD on Cyber Monday

Kindle Fire HD 3G is the only true mobile Internet-everywhere tablet from Amazon that is on sale this Cyber Monday holiday. This 8.9-inch tablet costs $499.

Falling in between are the Kindle Fire 8.9 Wi-Fi version at $299 and Fire HD 7-inch tablet.

All of these tablets support the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, which gives Kindle device owners access to 180,000 books to borrow for free, include 100-plus New York Times best sellers.
