Which company will have a better E3?

PS Plus Update News: Germinator and Pinball Arcade are part of the PS Plus update this week as well as Metro: Last Light, Darkstalkers and Men’s Room Mayhem discounts.

PS Plus update for March 21

PlayStation Plus will go through its normal weekly update on May 21 and Sony has just revealed what North American members can expect to receive. In addition to the free titles you will be receiving this week Sony also revealed a partnership with Gamestop. If you purchase a one year PS Plus membership at Gamestop you will get $10 in PSN cash to use on the PlayStation Store.

The May 21 PlayStation Plus update includes the following:

  • Germinator - Vita - Germinator twists the bubble genre, wiping away old school match-three games. Crash germ bubbles into those of the same color. Combine and grow them until they explode in a splattering goop. Trigger power-ups to pop them all and mess up the screen. Timing and accuracy are the keys to solving puzzles and preventing the germs from rising too high.

  • Pinball Arcade - PS3/Vita, Cross-Buy Enabled - It’s pinball action on the go with Pinball Arcade on PS Vita. You’ll find great pinball tables like Tales of the Arabian Nights, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Theatre of Magic, and Black Hole available from within the game. There are additional tables available to download too if you’re looking to augment your Pinball Arcade experience.

  • Metro: Last Light Season Pass - PSN Price $14.99 (PS Plus - $11.24)

  • Darkstalkers Resurrection & Super Puzzle Fighter II (PS3) - PSN Price $14.99 (PS Plus - $10.49)

  • Men’s Room Mayhem - Vita - PSN Price $1.39 (PS Plus - $0.97)

In addition to those PlayStation Plus items there will also be “Ultimate Deals” where you can get up to 75% off if you are PlayStation Plus member. These deals will include:

  • Assassin’s Creed III (Ultimate Edition):PSN Price - $69.99 (PS Plus - $62.99)
  • Batman: Arkham City (Ultimate Edition): PSN Price - 28.99 (PS Plus - $23.19)
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Ultimate Edition Bundle): PSN Price - $69.99 (PS Plus - $62.99)
  • DmC Devil May Cry (Ultimate Edition): PSN Price - $52.49 (PS Plus - $47.24)
  • Max Payne 3 (Ultimate Edition): PSN Price - $29.99 (PS Plus - $20.99)
  • Starhawk (Ultimate Edition): PSN Price - $23.49 (PS Plus - $16.44)
  • Far Cry 3 (Ultimate Edition): PSN Price - $55.99 (PS Plus - $50.39)
  • Persona 4 Arena (Ultimate Edition): PSN Price - $39.99 (PS Plus - $27.99)
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Ultimate Edition): PSN Price - $63.99 (PS Plus - $44.79)
  • Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (Ultimate Edition Bundle): PSN Price - $62.99 (PS Plus - $56.69)

Those are some pretty good deals but with the arrival of new sales means that other deals will be expiring soon. Next week on May 28 Zombie Tycoon II: Brainhov’s Revenge will be leaving the instant game collection meaning PS Plus members will no longer be able to download it for free. Additionally, the “Ultimate Deals” that I outlined above will only be good for one week and will expire on May 28.
