News: Will the oft-rumored Mirror’s Edge 2 be making its way on to Xbox One?
Mirror’s Edge 2 is on the way to Xbox One if recent “mistakes” on the web are to be believed. Recently a posting for Mirror’s Edge 2 appeared on Amazon Germany. The game had a placeholder date and price and no further details. It was quickly pulled from Amazon Germany and EA had this to say to IGN:
“We appreciate fan enthusiasm for Mirror’s Edge, especially fans throughout the retail channel. This is not official EA material. We have nothing to announce at this time.”
The original Mirror’s Edge has developed a cult following and gamers have been eagerly awaiting a sequel to the 2008 title. EA has had fun teasing us throughout the years and they clearly know that fans want a Mirror’s Edge 2. EA has been “considering” it for a while, at one time indicating Mirror’s Edge 2 could potentially use the Frostbite 2 engine. With the upcoming Frostbite 3 engine though it looks like the next gen might be where Faith is headed.
In addition to Amazon Germany, another posting for Mirror’s Edge 2 was recently spotted on Amazon Italy. This listing was quickly pulled down but what is interesting is that Mirror’s Edge 2 was listed as an Xbox One title. With E3 quickly approaching will we finally see the unveiling of Mirror’s Edge 2?
