Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn will hit PS3 and PC this summer and PS4 in 2014

News: Final Fantasy 14 will be available on current and next gen Sony consoles and will allow you to seamlessly transition from one console to the other.

Final Fantasy 14 is coming to the Playstation 4 in 2014. Square Enix confirmed this at E3 in Los Angeles and it is great news for Final Fantasy fans who weren’t sure whether they would have to keep their PS3 systems in order to play Final Fantasy 14. Square Enix has stated that they are currently in talks with Sony to ensure that players who purchase the PS3 version of the game will be able to smoothly transition their game accounts to the PS4 version upon its release.

“The heart of everything we’re working towards is enabling players and their friends to experience their own rich Final Fantasy adventure,” said Naoki Yoshida, producer and director. “The deeply integrated social capabilities of the PS4 will make it a natural home for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The team and I are thrilled to continue our adventure on the next generation gaming platform, and we hope that you’ll join us!”

The PS3 and Windows version of Final Fantasy 14 is now in the third phase of beta testing and Final Fantasy 14 is set to be available in stores on August 27. A free 30-day trial is also included for new accounts, with monthly subscriptions starting at $12.99. Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn will be available for $39.99 on the PS3 and for $29.99 on the PC. The Collector’s Edition will be available for $79.99 on the PS3 and the PC version will be sold exclusively at the Square Enix Online Store for $69.99.
