The Last of Us is the fastest selling game in PS3 history

The Last of Us News: Naughty Dog’s latest effort with the Last of Us is a bonafide hit and has solidified them as Sony’s best and most valuable studio.

The Last of Us is the fast selling title in the history of the PlayStation 3 according to Sony. Selling over 3.4 million units during its first three weeks in stores, Naughty Dog’s latest opus is a smash success. With the success of The Last of Us Naughty Dog has firmly solidified themselves as not only the most valuable studio that Sony owns but as a company where the very mention of their name will get people excited about a game. Similar to how gamers get excited for a Grand Theft Auto title sight unseen simply because it is made by Rockstar North, Naughty Dog and Sony should now enjoy that same luxury.

Not only is The Last of Us the fast selling title in the history of the PlayStation 3, it is also the fastest selling Playstation 3 game of 2013. The Last of Us is one of the highest rated games of this or any generation sitting at a 95 Metacritic after 90 reviews.
