News: Atlus and Nintendo team up to reward their fans for buying two Atlus 3DS titles by giving you $30 in eShop credit.

Shin Megami Tensei IV

Fire Emblem Awakening was released earlier this year and Shin Megami Tensei IV will be available beginning on July 16. What do these titles have in common? Well, they are both on the 3DS and they are both published by Atlus. What this means is that Atlus and Nintendo are holding a special promotion for those of you who purchase both of these games.

Those gamers who purchase both games and register them on Club Nintendo will earn a $30 credit on the Nintendo eShop. This goes for both versions of the game whether it be a physical copy you purchased at Gamestop or a digital copy downloaded off of the eShop. When you download a game off of the eShop it should automatically register to your account. If you purchase the game at Gamestop you will have to manually register it with the code you receive in the box. This promotion begins on July 16 and runs through August 31.

This Club Nintendo promotion is a first of its kind from Nintendo and Atlus and, hopefully, we’ll see more like it in the future. RPG fans who purchase both games, register them with the Club Nintendo account and complete all the requirements will earn the $30 credit which can be used on anything you want, whether it is a new game entirely or perhaps future DLC for Fire Emblem Awakening or Shin Megami Tensei IV. After each game is registered to the same Club Nintendo account, you must complete a short web survey by the August 31 deadline to receive the credit.

It should be noted that if you have already bought and registered Fire Emblem Awakening then you are already halfway there. You don’t have to wait until July 16 to register that particular game. Also, according to Club Nintendo, if your Fire Emblem Awakening survey already expired before you completed it, you will still qualify for this $30 credit offer as long as you register both games before the promotional period ends.

Once you have completed your surveys you need to log back in to your Club Nintendo account to claim your promotional credit. You need to click on the $30 eShop Credit item in your “To-Do” list to begin the process of receiving your credit. Simply click ‘redeem’ on the $30 eShop credit item page and confirm your order to receive an activation code with a value of $30 in Nintendo eShop credit. Please note that after you complete your last survey it might take an hour or two before the $30 eShop credit item appears in your to-do list.

Activation codes must be retrieved at the Club Nintendo site by September 30, 2013 or you miss out. Once you have your code you have until December 31, 2013 to to use it. After December 31 the code will expire and you will no longer be entitled to your $30 eShop credit. Do you plan on taking advantage of this limited time offer? Tell us what you think below.
