Xbox One Launch Games News: Xbox One will debut with 23 games, although Microsoft still hasn’t announced a specific Xbox One launch date yet.
The Xbox One launch games lineup was announced by Microsoft during its GamesCom press conference in Germany today, revealing 23 games “targeted” for the console’s release date.
The launch games include first-party software like Crimson Dragon, Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3, and Forza Motorsport 5. Ubisoft, EA and Activision are committed to releasing multiple games when the system comes out.
“The hotly anticipated line-up of blockbuster games has been building since the initial announcement of Xbox One,” announced Microsoft on its official website. “Microsoft exclusive titles received 272 award nominations and 111 wins at E3 2013.”
The 23 games could certainly help Xbox One compete against PS4, depending on when and how many games Sony is able to bring to the console along with its third-party partners. Microsoft, like Sony, hasn’t announced a launch date for the Xbox One, but did previously state that the system would be out sometime in November 2013. The PS4 release date is still slated for the even wider window of “Holiday 2013.”
