World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition beta servers are now live

News: Wargaming opens up beta servers for World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition in three different markets.

Earlier this year at E3 Microsoft revealed that World of Tanks would be making its way to Xbox Live and the Xbox 360. Well earlier today Wargaming announced that beta servers are now live for World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition in North America, Canada and Europe. The three regions will also see the introduction of new US and German tier VII and VIII heavy tanks, bringing even more firepower to the fight.

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is a team based massively multiplayer online game dedicated to armored warfare in the mid-20th century. The game marks the very first console title ever developed by Wargaming, following the massive success of its free-to-play PC MMO action game, World of Tanks, which has more than 70 million registered players around the world.

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is a tactical warfare experience where team based coordination is the key to victory, all built exclusively from the ground up for the Xbox 360. Taking full advantage of Xbox Live, the game will support a deep progression and customization system, including features such as achievements and Live matchmaking.

“From our early technical beta testing we’ve seen tremendous numbers of players get into the game and experience first-hand what’s made World of Tanks such a global phenomenon,” said Denny Thorley, General Manager at Wargaming West in Chicago. “We’re extremely thankful for their input on how the game is coming along and can’t wait to get even more players from North America, Canada and Europe into the game.”
