PS Plus details revealed for North American members

News: PS Vita owners in North America get a free game this week with PlayStation Plus.

The weekly PlayStation Plus update is almost upon us and Sony has revealed what North American gamers will be receiving this week. PS Vita owners should be happy as the free game of the week will be Machinarium. There will also be a plethora of different sales with Sony’s ongoing Vita Summer Select Sale as well as a special PAX Prime sale that will be taking place this week in celebration of the upcoming PAX Prime convention. The details for this week’s PlayStation Plus update are as follows:

Machinarium - Vita - Free - Machinarium is a point-and-click adventure game filled with fun and devious puzzles. Set in a richly detailed world and filled with charming characters, the game features a little robot hero who’s been thrown out to the scrap yard behind the city and must return to confront the Black Cap Brotherhood and rescue his robot girlfriend. Featuring dozens of beautiful hand-drawn environments and a meticulously crafted musical score, Machinarium is a visual marvel and a pleasure for the senses.

Spelunky - PS3 & Vita (Cross-Buy) - $14.99 (PS Plus - $11.99) - Spelunky is a unique platformer with randomized levels that offer a challenging new experience each time you play. Journey deep underground and explore fantastic places filled with all manner of monsters, traps, and treasure. Go solo or bring up to three friends to join you in cooperative play or frantic deathmatch.

Draw Slasher - Vita - $5.99 (PS Plus - $3.00) - Meet Hanzo. He’s a ninja. While he was training ‘out there’ the Pirate Monkey Zombies – stupid, ugly, smelly, rotten and disgusting creatures – kidnapped his family. Take control of his awesome blade and aid him in the quest to free them.
