PS Plus News: European PS Plus members get five new games in October with three of them being on the PS3 and the other two on PS Vita.

Far Cry 3

PlayStation Plus members in Europe have another great month to look forward to as Sony has revealed what games will be arriving in the Instant Game Collection for the month of October. The October line up begins with a popular Ubisoft title from last year, Far Cry 3 for PS3. The next PS3 game being given to PS Plus members in Europe is Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and, finally, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen from Capcom. Rounding out the month are two PS Vita titles with Street Fighter X Tekken and Touch My Katamari. If you aren’t familiar with any of these games a brief of description of each is below:

PS3 Games

- Far Cry 3: In this open world adventure you take on the role of Jason Brody, a young man stranded on the lawless tropical paradise of Rock Island, a place ruled by piracy and misery. After escaping the clutches of the mentally unstable, slave trading, pirate leader Vaas, Jason must transform himself from coward to killer in an attempt to save his family and friends.

- Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams: You’ll play as plucky Giana, who enters the dark, dangerous Dream World to rescue her sister who’s been abducted by a giant dragon. Harness the power of Giana’s dreams to jump between her “Cute” and “Punk” personas, in an effort to be reunited with her sibling.

- Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen: Dragon’s Dogma introduces an innovative team system to the genre. Known as Pawns, these three AI partners fight independently, demonstrating prowess and ability they have developed based on traits learned over time from the player and their actions. By utilizing the PlayStation Network players will journey to the Rift where they can share their own Pawns with friends and be rewarded with treasure, knowledge of the world and strategies for taking down enemies. Conversely, players can borrow friends’ Pawns with the specific skills or experience required to tackle a particular quest. In addition, Dragon’s Dogma will ship with thousands of readymade Pawns for players to select offline. New quests await the Arisen on the cursed island known as the Bitterblack Isle. You will face fearsome new enemies and discover valuable treasures.

PS Vita Games

- Street Fighter X Tekken: Utilizing the same technology that powered Street Fighter IV & Super Street Fighter IV, Tekken characters such as Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams will make the transition into the Street Fighter universe having been re-imagined using the much loved art style of these seminal titles; while retaining their unique characteristics and signature moves as they go head to head with classic brawlers from the Street Fighter franchise in what promises to be the ultimate match up.

- Touch My Katamari: Roll up some fun with this portable entry in the beloved Katamari Damacy franchise. In Touch My Katamari, the ever-growing ball of bits and bobs is controlled by touching the screen or using both analog control sticks to roll it in any direction. A completely new Katamari gameplay feature allows players to use the rear touch panel of the PlayStation Vita system to stretch the ball either horizontally or vertically to pick up more objects at once or squeeze through a narrow gap. With many more details yet to be revealed, the Prince is already limbering up in the wings to bring a dose of irresistible Katamari oddness to the PS Vita.

In addition to these games arriving on PS Plus for the month of October the following titles will no longer be available as of September 25:

- Assassin’s Creed 3
- Saints Row The Third
- Payday: The Heist
- Urban Trials
- New Little Kings Story
