The Last of Us News: Naughty Dog and Sony reveal what type of DLC to expect and when we’ll see the single player DLC that everyone wants.
Sony and Naughty Dog have finally released some details about upcoming DLC for their smash hit, The Last of Us. The first DLC that will appear as part of the season pass is new multiplayer maps. You will have to weather the opposing Faction and the random, dynamic dust storm on the Suburbs map. Explore a layered map of an overgrown urban environment with wild giraffes in the background in the Bus Depot map. Stalk around a dark, eerie, moonlit environment in the Hometown map. The Bookstore map features a stacked, bi-level layout adding a unique dose of vertical gameplay. These new maps will be available on October 15.
A lot of people have been waiting for the new story content that Naughty Dog has promised as well. They briefly addressed that to by saying they just wrapped up a long casting process for a new character and they will begin their performance capture shoot next week. The single player DLC is currently scheduled to be available sometime around the December or January timeframe.
They also revealed that the third part of the season pass DLC package will be multiplayer focused and will be released in the first half of 2014. To try and make the wait a little easier, they are adding bonus items to the Season Pass. There are over 60 different head items for your multiplayer character ranging from a Nightmare mask to a Pigskin hat that will be free for all Season Pass buyers. These items will also be available for purchase a la carte for those who have not purchased a season pass.
