AC4 News: Ubisoft says AC4 expansion will be available on Sony consoles, even though the game is also coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC.
The exclusivity wars continue as Ubisoft has confirmed that the Assassin's Creed 4 DLC starring Aveline de Grandpre from Assassin's Creed Liberation will stay exclusive to the PS4 and PS3 versions of the game.
This news comes right after a PS4 promo video suggested that there was only a six month period of exclusivity for the DLC, which seems like a pretty substantial addition to the game, with over an hour's worth of additional gameplay; and likely ties into the HD version of the title coming to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC early next year.
This could be seen as a slight for Xbox fans, as Respawn Entertainment and EA have just confirmed console exclusivity for the first Titanfall title earlier this week.
According to
Eurogamer, what isn't confirmed is whether the PlayStation exclusive DLC for Watch Dogs will stay that way, considering that game was just delayed for at least 6 months.
Even with this confirmation, I would not be surprised if the DLC becomes available on the other systems down the line. With Liberation coming to consoles and PC next year, it wouldn't make sense to not enable all players to become more vested in one of the series many protagonists... Ezio can only star in so much ya know.
