Black Friday News: There are more Xbox One Black Friday bundles for sale with video game savings attached to this, this time at GameStop.

Xbox One Black Friday bundle deal at GameStop

Xbox One is less than a month old, but it’s still seeing discounts thanks to a special GameStop Black Friday bundle with a pair of video games that would cost more separately.

The video game retailer is offering its Xbox One Black Friday Bundle for $699.95, which seems expensive until you realize that it packs in both Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3. These are two Xbox One exclusives published by Microsoft for the next-generation console’s launch and cost $59.99 on their own.

The normal list price of an Xbox One is $499 plus tax, which could make the contents of this one-day bundle about $620. But this Black Friday deal cuts $20 off the top, which makes it a stellar sale if you intended to buy both titles.

While we normally don’t recommend game-forced bundles that limit your options, this indeed comes with actual savings (unlike some of Walmart’s bundles that don’t really cost anything less than what the products retailer for apart).

Additionally, we’ve played both games, giving our opinion in a Ryse: Son of Rome review - it's like a slower paced God of War, a franchise exclusive to Sony hardware. We also found that Dead Rising 3, as expected, is a very fun, albeit extremely gory, romp through one of our favorite zombie franchises. None of the 22 Xbox One launch games do much better. Plus, it’s better to buy the slaughterfest online than go out there to actual stores and experience a slaughterfest-like atmosphere in retail stores.
