News: Square Enix has released the opening cinematic for Final Fantasy X which shows what happens to Tidus’s hometown.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is being released next week for the PS3. To help celebrate the occasion Square Enix has released the opening cinematic from Final Fantasy X. This CGI movie from the Visual Works studio at Square Enix depicts the destruction of an iconic city from Spira, the world of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.
During this sequence the technologically advanced metropolis, Zanarkand, is attacked by the mysterious force known as Sin during a key match of the popular sport known as Blitzball. Tidus, star player of the world famous Zanarkand Abes, is caught up in the annihilation that is the beginning of a journey that goes beyond imagination.
For those fans who are in the area, Square Enix has invited you to visit the Opening Reception of the Official Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Gallery Exhibit at Gallery Nucleus (210 E. Main Street Alhambra, CA) this Saturday, March 15 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. The exhibit’s opening reception will be a gala to remember, as Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Art Director Yusuke Naora will be on site to sign the first 200 copies of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster purchased. Proceeds from the sale of the artwork that will be available for purchase at the event will be donated to charity relief efforts to aid the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
