News: Square Enix releases another launch trailer for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, exclusively on PS3 and PS Vita.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is coming out tomorrow in North America and later this week internationally, exclusively on PS3. To help celebrate the occasion Square Enix has released another launch trailer, this time for their UK audience. Tied intrinsically to the Fayth from which they are born, the Aeons of Final Fantasy X play a crucial and symbolic role in Yuna’s journey to become a full-fledged summoner. The first game in the series to give players full control over the franchise’s iconic creatures, each summoned monster is beautifully rendered in the game’s newly remastered HD graphics.
Experience an epic scene from one of the most celebrated role-playing experiences ever created, soon to be released as part of the upcoming Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster This CGI movie from the legendary Visual Works studio at Square Enix depicts the destruction of an iconic city from Spira, the world of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.
During this sequence, the technologically-advanced metropolis, Zanarkand, is attacked by the mysterious force known as Sin during a key match of the popular sport known as blitzball. Tidus, star player of the world-famous Zanarkand Abes, is caught up in the annihilation that is the beginning of a journey that goes beyond imagination.
Final Fantasy X-2 is a story told by former summoner Yuna, taking place in Spira two years after the events of Final Fantasy X where she and the rest of the world are attempting to come to terms with living in a world without Sin when political conflicts and a force from the ancient past rise and threaten to destroy the newfound peace.
Final Fantasy X-2 diverges from its predecessor in many ways, including a fluid mission-based storyline, allowing the player to participate in many different side quests and minigames. A significant portion of the game's events are unnecessary for the completion of the main storyline, but much of the depth of the story – including characterization and background details – are featured in the optional content, which generally follows how each part of Spira is healing in the time since the passing of Sin.
