Watch Dogs Multiplayer Walkthrough Released by Ubisoft

News: Ubisoft releases a nine minute multiplayer walkthrough video showcasing some of what you can expect from Watch Dogs multiplayer.

Watch Dogs is coming out in a little over a month and earlier today Ubisoft released a new trailer showing off some of the multiplayer. This new trailers shows off three different ways you can experience the game’s multiplayer. You have the Online Hacking Contracts, ctOS Mobile Companion App and Competitive Decryption Combat.

With the Online Hacking Contract you are roaming around the city like you normally do and by getting information about all of the NPCs you will see if someone is already hacking them. If they are then you can choose to try and hack the hacker, so to speak. You don’t have to do it though if you don’t want to. The flip side of the coin is that someone else can hack you as well. If you get the notification that you are getting hacked you need to explore the area and try to find the guy so you can eliminate him. How you choose to do it is your decision but your decisions might have unforseen consequences, such as getting the cops involved.

The ctOS Mobile Companion App allows you to play the game when you are away from your console. Using the app you can enter other people’s games and wreak havoc. The video shows someone on a table controlling a helicopter in the sky and he is shining the light down on a car. The other player in the car is challenged to a race where he needs to get through a set number of checkpoints but along the way the person on the tablet has control of the city and can try and stop you however he feels like it whether it is sending the cops after you, raising barriers or whatever.

The third one is Competitive Decryption Combat and the example that is show in the trailer is two teams vying for one file. The other team got it first and was trying to hack in to the file until your team arrived. When you get close enough you can prevent them from hacking in to the file and can eventually steal it. Once you gain possession of the file you will want to get as far away from your enemy as possible while you try to hack in to the file. The more of your team that is around you the faster the file will get hacked.
