Sony Reveals June PS Plus Lineup for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

News: Sony has revealed that PS Plus members will now get two free PS4 games a month along with two free PS3 and two free PS Vita games.

E3 is coming up quickly and both Sony and Microsoft are trying to outdo each other. It has been clear for a long time that Sony’s PS Plus service is pretty amazing and, in terms of the quality of the games being offered, is better than Microsoft’s Games with Gold program. That might change though as Microsoft recently revealed that they will be giving away five free games in the month of June with three of them being on Xbox 360 and two of them being on Xbox One. Not to be left out of the fun Sony has just announced that beginning in June PS Plus members will now get two free PS4 games every month instead of the one free game we have been getting for a little while now.

Additionally, Sony revealed that games will remain in the Instant Game Collection for a longer duration of time. Beginning in July, every game in the IGC will be available the first Tuesday of the month and will be available for free for the month, until the first Tuesday of the following month. This sounds similar to the model that PS Plus uses over in Europe where they get all of their games at the same time instead of one or two games every week like North American members have received. We’ll have to wait and see how exactly Sony handles this in North America but it should be exciting nonetheless.

With all of that being said Sony has also revealed what games North American members will be receiving for the month of June. There will be two PS4 games available, two PS3 games available and two PS Vita games available throughout the month. The games that will be entering the IGC include:

PlayStation 4 Games

Trine 2: Complete Story - Trine 2: Complete Story is a beautiful, award-winning sidescrolling game of action, puzzles and platforming. Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate - PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is a twin-stick shooter with equal elements of action, exploration and puzzle solving. Saving scientists and uncovering the mysteries of an ill-fated research trip requires you to study and manipulate your environment. Blast and dig through rock and ice, unleashing floods of water, lava, gas, magnetic oil and even deadly stomach acid, all powered by an advanced fluid mechanics simulation.

PlayStation 3 Games

NBA 2K14 - NBA 2K13 was a monstrous release for the world’s 1 NBA video game franchise, with more than 38 Sports Game of the Year and ‘Best Of’ mentions. NBA 2K14 will raise the bar yet again, providing the best basketball gaming experience for legions of sports fans and gamers around the world.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time - The pages of the Thievius Raccoonus are disappearing and now Sly and The Gang must get back together to save the Cooper Clan legacy from being destroyed forever! Travel through time, meeting and playing as Sly’s ancestors as you race to recover the past to save their future.

PlayStation Vita Games

It should be noted that Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time on PS3 is a cross-buy game so you will get both the PS3 version and the PS Vita version once that becomes available.
