News: Metalhead Software will be releasing their own “lite” baseball simulation game on PSN later this year.

Super Mega Baseball

Metalhead Software has just revealed that they are working on a new baseball game for PS4 and PS3. The game is going to be called, “Super Mega Baseball” and is currently slated to hit PSN this fall. Metalhead claims that this will be a “lite” baseball simulation. It will not have the MLB license so they have been able to have some fun with the design of the stadiums, allowing you to create your own player and more. This game will also feature a couch co op/couch competitive experience as well.

Some of the features in this game will include:

Leveling System - You’ll tally up Starpoints for hits/strikeouts/catches during each game, Level Up once you have enough, and then hire staff to train and coach your players, boosting their abilities. Use that jacked up team to win at higher difficulties (and post higher leaderboard scores than your friends!).

Team Customizations - Customize the look of your squad to your hearts delight. You can make as many aesthetic adjustments as you want.

Ultra responsive, blazing fast gameplay - In a nutshell, you’re going to spend most of your time telling your players what to do. All the cinematic stuff is skippable and you’ll be able to cut through 9-innings in 20 minutes. The basic controls are ultra-easy to learn, but you’ll need to master jumping, diving, wall-catches, power-swings, and cut-off plays to properly dominate your friends.

You can follow the Super Mega Baseball twitter for additional information over the coming weeks or come back here and we’ll be sure to report on any new details. Does this game look like something you would be interested to play? Let us know below.
