Dead Island Digital Comic Volume One Now Available

News: Deep Silver has teamed up with Dark Horse Comics to release the first of three volumes for the Dead Island digital comic.

Escape Dead Island is coming out in less than two weeks but if you need some Dead Island in your life right now you can take a look at the digital comic which launched today. Escape Dead Island is a narrative driven, third-person survival mystery spin-off game for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC that unravels the origins of the zombie outbreak.

Earlier today Deep Silver announced that they are partnering with Dark Horse Comics to release the first volume in a three volume, digital comic book series that takes place in the Dead Island universe and tells the story from a graphically unique perspective. Each volume will consist of 16 pages each (48 pages in total) and will be made available for free digitally via Dark Horse Digital. The Dark Horse app is available on any device running iOS/Android and comics can also be read through web browsers on any PC/Mac, or mobile web browser. Additionally, Dark Horse Comics can be read through Amazon, on the Kobo Vox, the Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet, Nook Color, the Kobos iOS app and the Nook app for Android.

In the Dead Island Digital Comic, death comes to California. Richard and Marco were two ordinary guys, until the zombie apocalypse gave them the chance to become true heroes...or at least rip the undead apart. This is a “side-splitting, gut-ripping” digital exclusive comic that ties directly into the Dead Island game universe. It will connect the story of Escape Dead Island with Dead Island 2.
