Resident Evil Remake Eclipses One MIllion Sales in Approximately Four Months

News: Capcom has revealed that the Resident Evil remake is setting a number of records and has sold over a million worldwide.

The Resident Evil remake has sold more than one million units worldwide according to a press release that Capcom sent out. Releasing back in January, Resident Evil also previously set a new record for the biggest selling day one digital title on the PlayStation Network and is Capcom’s fastest selling digital title in history across Europe and North America.

Originally released in 1996, Resident Evil was then “remade” in 2002 from the ground up. Both fans of the franchise who want a trip down memory lane and those who have yet to experience the game that coined the term survival horror for the gaming world will appreciate this definitive re-visit of that iconic 2002 Resident Evil title. The new remastered version includes various updates including visuals, sound, new Very Easy Mode, and options for control and aspect ratio.
