The Last of Us 2 is Currently in Development According to Nolan North

News: During a recent panel at Metrocon 2015, Nolan North confirms that Naughty Dog is indeed working on a sequel for The Last of Us.

The Last of Us 2 is currently in development. This really shouldn’t be much of a surprise to anyone but Nolan North accidentally let that detail slip during a panel he recently did at Metrocon 2015. Mr. North was participating in a Q&A session with the audience and someone asked him if he will be doing anything else with Naughty Dog. He said not at the moment but “I know they are doing Last of Us 2.” Nolan North played a character with a fairly minor role in The Last of Us but most likely won’t be involved with the sequel.

The Last of Us is regarded as one of the best games of the last generation and even potentially one of the greatest games ever made. It has a Metacritic score of 95 and is generally universally loved. For those who might not be familiar with The Last of Us, a brief premise is below:

”The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience that blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. Abandoned cities are being reclaimed by nature and the remaining survivors are killing each other for food, weapons and whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States.”

The Last of Us had a really interesting ending and it will be interesting to see what direction Naughty Dog goes with the sequel. Did you play The Last of Us? Are you excited for a sequel?
