News: New emotes are headed your way next week and will be available to purchase in the tower but they are completely optional.

”Destiny:

Activision and Bungie have revealed that Tess is coming back to Destiny. Next Tuesday on October 13, Tess Everis will be returning to the Tower with a new look, new storefront and will have new items to sell. At first Tess will offer 18 brand new emotes. Similar to what you got with the Taken King Collector’s Edition, these new emotes are completely optional and will not impact the game in any way, shape or form.

If you want to get these items you will first need to pick up a new in-game currency, Silver. This will be available to you for purchase through the store associated with your console. Images and descriptions for each emote, along with pricing information, will be available on Tuesday when these launch alongside the launch of the in-game storefront on Bungie.net.

If you happen to be someone that has no interest in this at all then you can just ignore it. You will obviously receive updates to the game and you won’t be prohibited from doing anything simply because you don’t have one of these new emotes. If you are curious but don’t want to spend any money on these emotes then Bungie is going to be giving you some free Silver so you can purchase one or two emotes to try them out.

Bungie has stated that they intend to use these items to bolster the service for another year while the team create more robust and engaging events that will be revealed at a later time. They have also stated that their team is looking focusing on world events, experiences and feature requests.

Will you be using this new in-game currency? What do you think about it? Tell us what you think below.
