News: PS4 gamers get to try out the Battleborn beta tomorrow while Xbox One and PC get it next week, but you can pre-purchase the game and season pass now.

”Battleborn"

Battleborn is being released next month but the Digital Deluxe Edition and season pass are now available for pre-purchase on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Launching globally on May 3, 2016, 2K and Gearbox recently revealed details surrounding the downloadable content offerings in Battleborn, with five add-on packs to be released post-launch, each containing a PvE Story Operation, exclusive skins and taunts.

Players may purchase all five add-on packs at a reduced price point through the game’s Season Pass for a suggested price of $19.99, a savings of $4.95 versus buying all five packs individually.

PS4 beta participants will receive the first add-on pack at no charge and will immediately unlock new character Alani once she becomes available in-game. PS4 beta participants who also purchase the game’s Season Pass will receive a hero unlock key, allowing players to instantly unlock any hero in the game.

In addition, the Battleborn Digital Deluxe Edition is now available for pre-purchase for $74.99 and includes the game plus the Season Pass and additional cosmetic customizations. 2K and Gearbox will also be supporting the game post-launch with free content updates that include five new playable heroes, bringing the total roster to 30, and additional competitive multiplayer modes, maps, balance updates and community features.

The Battleborn Open Beta begins tomorrow on PS4 and then on April 13 on Xbox One and PC. Players can pre-load now on all platforms and be on the starting line to experience the natural progression of Battleborn; including two Story Mode episodes, two Competitive Multiplayer Modes, 25 heroes (some instantly available, some will unlock as you progress), and as you play, you’ll rank up on three different progression systems.

Set in the distant future, Battleborn is a first-person shooter featuring 25 unique playable heroes who form an unlikely alliance to save the last star in the universe from a mysterious enemy hell-bent on its destruction. Battleborn’s narrative-driven story mode can be played alone or co-operatively by up to five friends splitscreen and online. The game’s three different competitive multiplayer modes can be played by up to 10 players online in action-packed 5v5 matches. Regardless of the mode being played, players will experience deep and customizable character growth for all 25 playable heroes.

Check out the new trailer that was released today to accompany these announcements and tell us what you think. Will you be participating in the Battleborn beta? Will you pick up the game when it launches on May 3?
