Gears of War 4 Ultimate and Collector’s Editions Revealed by Microsoft

News: There are going to be three different versions of Gears of War 4 with the standard version, the ultimate edition and the collector’s edition.

The Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta opens up today for everyone as long as you are an Xbox Live gold member. Microsoft has also revealed that Gears of War 4 is available for pre-order on the Xbox Store as well as your favorite games store. There are going to be three different skus for Gears of War 4 with the standard edition, the Ultimate Edition and the Collector’s Edition. Those who pre-order either edition of Gears of War 4 will receive a pre-order exclusive Vintage Del Gear Pack featuring a Vintage Del Gear character model, emblem, two Vintage weapon skins and a special Vintage Del bounty as an added bonus.

The standard version of Gears of War 4 will be available for the normal price of $59.99. The Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition will be available for $99.99 and comes with a variety of additional content, including early access to the game itself. The Collector’s Edition will be available for $249.99 and will come with the Ultimate Edition as well as other Gears related items. These different editions will include:

Gears of War 4 season pass - This includes the Vintage VIP Pack featuring Vintage JD and two Vintage weapon skins, permanent access to 24 additional DLC maps (there will be two new maps released every month for the first year) for private play on dedicated servers, an exclusive Developer Playlist that grants access to new maps, modes and features that can be tested prior to broad release and six Gear Packs (which unlock character and weapon skins, emblems, equipment and boosts).

A limited edition Steelbook (presumably only for the physical version but we haven’t received 100% confirmation on that)

Early access to Gears of War 4 on Friday, October 7, 2016, four days before the game’s worldwide launch.
