News: If you are a fan of the card game from The Witcher 3 and plan on attending Gamescom you might want to try and find some time to play Gwent.

”Gwent"

If you are planning on attending Gamescom this year then you might get the chance to play Gwent according to CD Projekt Red. In GWENT, gamers clash with their friends in fast-paced duels that combine bluffing, on-the-fly decision making and careful deck construction. The game is played over a best-of-three series of rounds, as players unleash their hand by slinging spells and diverse units with special abilities and use clever tricks to deceive their opponents.

CD PROJEKT RED will present GWENT: The Witcher Card Game to Gamescom visitors in the Entertainment Area (hall 8, booth B-053; August 17-21) and in the Business Area (hall 2.1, booth A-021; August 17-19).

“GWENT was made because of the amazing effort of The Witcher community -- we’ve received tons and tons of messages to make a standalone version happen and now we finally have the chance to show GWENT to the public for the first time!” said Marcin Momot, Senior Social Media and Community Coordinator. “Gamescom is one of those special events that allows us to thank gamers for their support in person. So we’d love to have a chat with you in Cologne, hear your thoughts about GWENT and get direct feedback on how the game plays for you,” Momot adds.

Available at release for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4, GWENT is a free-to-play game that puts you, not your cards, in the center of the action. Are you looking forward to playing a standalone game of GWENT? Let us know what you think below.
