News: A listing has just popped up on a retailer’s site that states that the Switch will get the Skyrim remastered edition with “PC-like” mod support.
Update #2 - 1/26/2017
A representative from Best Buy Canada emailed us (and left a comment below) claiming this listing was made in error. If you click on the link to go to the product page you now simply get an error message because they took that page down. One has to wonder if this really was an error or if someone just posted the details before they were supposed to. We'll have to wait until later in the year to find out either way and we'll be sure to update this story as needed.

Update #1
Here is the Best Buy Canada product page for Skyrim on the Switch.
----------------------------------
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the many third party titles announced for the Nintendo Switch. No one knew what version would arrive on the Switch but according to a listing on Best Buy’s Canada site it is indeed the remastered special edition. Not only that but the Switch version will also feature mod support.
These are the key features for Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch according to Best Buy’s listing:
Skyrim, remastered
This special edition of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been remastered and enhanced for the current generation of home consoles
Visual and graphical enhancements include remastered game art, effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, screen-space reflections and more.
The Special Edition also brings PC-like mod support to the game, so you can continually refresh your experience with new quests, environments, characters, dialogue, armor and weapons.
The listing on the Best Buy site also lists some minor story details and things of that nature but the above features are what everyone was wondering. There were unsubstantiated rumors that the Switch version might actually be the original version that was on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Unless this listing is a big mistake by Best Buy it appears Nintendo Switch gamers will get the remastered version after all and depending on how well Bethesda and Nintendo work together, it might even have better mod support then the PS4 version.
What do you think about this revelation? Will you be buying Skyrim on the Switch when it is released later this year?
