Aven Colony Is A Sci-Fi City Builder Coming Later This Year

News: A new sci-fi city builder is currently in development and will be released a little later this year on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

A new sci-fi city builder is coming soon called, Aven Colony. Aven Colony is a city-building strategy game about mankind’s first colony on an alien world. As the Governor of humanity’s first colony outside the solar system you will need to build something up from the ground up to try and become a big and successful metropolis.

Aven Colony seems like it will be similar to something like a Sim City. You will be tasked with growing the population, providing housing and electricity, mining resources and much more. You will also be able to build fleets of flying construction drones, pump water from underground, research new technologies and more.

While you are handling these tasks you will have to deal with the risks associated with this potentially harsh environment. Some things you might have to deal with include alien infestations, giant sandworms, toxic gas eruptions and more. You will also have to deal with the weather and conditions on the planet which could impair your growth so you need to be able to monitor that and act accordingly.

The game looks like it will have a nine mission single player campaign where you can rise through the ranks to Expedition President. If you don’t want to participate in the campaign you can play in the sandbox mode. Another item of interest about Aven Colony is that it is being created by four people who are industry veterans.
