News: If you have pre-ordered your new Nintendo Switch console at Best Buy it looks like you will be able to pick it up at midnight on March 3.

Best Buy is going to be holding midnight store openings for the Nintendo Switch launch event. If you live on the East coast in the United States that means you will be able to pick up your Nintendo Switch console at 12:01 am. If you live on the West coast though you should be able to pick it up at 9:01 pm due to the release being timed for the Eastern time zone. Games do this as well.

You will want to get to your Best Buy store early though even if you have a pre-order because they are going to be giving away a free The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild poster to everyone, while supplies last. You will be able to pick up the Nintendo Switch console, games and accessories at this event. There is no word yet on whether you will be able to buy anything if you don’t have a pre-order. The pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch console are completely sold out as of the time this article was posted but you might get lucky if the store happens to receive some additional units that haven’t been pre-ordered. There is no guarantee that happens of course but just remain vigilant at your local store and keep your fingers crossed if you haven’t been able to lock down a pre-order.

Do you plan on attending the midnight launch for the Nintendo Switch at Best Buy? Be sure to check to see if your local Best Buy store is participating in this event. If you will be attending, what is going to be your first game? What accessories are you going to buy?
