News: If you have been wanting to play some Jak and Daxter but you don’t have a PS2 they will be arriving on PS4 in 2017.

Jak and Daxter are heading to the PS4. This was revealed earlier today on the PlayStation blog when they revealed that the Jak and Daxter PS2 games will be arriving on PS4 later this year. Of course these titles include Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing.

Jak X: Combat Racing will be available for the first time anywhere since its original release more than a decade ago. You will be able to play in either “Play Adventure” or “Exhibition” mode when the game launches. Sadly there will be online functionality but you can still play against your friends locally using the split screen feature.

As has become normal for the “PS2 on PS4” library these Jak titles will be up-rendered to 1080p and will have trophies. Additionally they will be able to take advantage of some of the PS4’s features such as Shareplay and Remote Play. Check out the trailer Sony released to accompany this announcement and tell us what you think. Will you purchase these Jak titles when they arrive on PS4 later this year?
