News: We took a look at a number of accessories for the Nintendo Switch from Power A and came away pretty impressed.

If you are someone who travels a lot and you want to bring your Switch with you there are a number of accessories that you can get. We have been testing out the accessories from Power A and have been pretty happy with the results. The first product we tested out was the “Everywhere Messenger Bag” that was developed for the Switch. This bag was designed to try and make sure your Switch is safe while you are on the go. The inside of it has different compartments where you can place all of your Switch related items. The bag comes with a case for the tablet and a slot to put that case to try and make sure your Switch has double protection. The right side of the bag has a section which was made for the Switch Dock and it fits perfectly. To the left of that are a couple more compartments where you place the AC adapter and any other cords you might have. Once that is all done you can zip it all up and then put it over your shoulder using the enclosed strap and you are good to go.

The next item that we tested out was the Joy-Con Comfort Grip. This has double-injected rubber grips that are comfortable to hold and can make more of a traditional controller out of the two Joy-Cons. You just slide in a Joy-Con on each side and you are good to go. When I first picked it up I liked how sturdy it felt. Once I clicked in the two Joy-Con controllers it felt like a traditional controller that I am used to. The only thing I would say is that the two analog sticks seemed to be a bit further apart than they are on Xbox’s controller so that might take a little getting used to. All in all though it seems to work well and is a great option if you choose to go this route.

Our third item was the Joy-Con Charging Dock. It should be self explanatory but this is something that you can use if your Joy-Con controllers are running low on power and you don’t have a Pro controller or any other controllers you can use. This charging dock allows you to charge up to 4 Joy-Con controllers at the same time. There are individual LED lights which will show you the charge level for each of the Joy-Con controllers. Much the aforementioned comfort grip, you can slide the Joy-Con controllers in and out of this dock with ease. One thing that I did appreciated is that the base is stated so it gives it some nice stability and it is powered via USB. There is also a section underneath the base that holds the USB charging cord so that you can have it out while the product is charging and then put it away when you are done and not have a mess with a bunch of different cords laying around.

The fourth and final Power A product we tested out was the Nintendo Switch Hybrid Cover. This Hybrid Cover features a magnetic closure that will keep your Switch safe and protected when you don’t have it in the dock. They have also made it so that the cover can be flipped to provide a built-in stand for multiple viewing angles if you are utilizing the Switch’s tabletop mode. The kickstand on the Switch can be pretty worthless at times so it is nice that third parties are trying to rectify that problem. That said though this particular product is a bit too “soft” for me. It isn’t rigid enough, in my opinion, for me to be really comfortable with letting it hold my Switch tablet if I’m in a situation that might be a little bumpy, such as flying on an airplane. For this I would have preferred a harder plastic and something that could snap into place so that it would have a proper foundation and therefore the Switch tablet would be more stable. If that isn’t a concern for you and you just want to use this to protect your Switch while it isn’t docked then this is a fantastic product that should serve you well.

Those are the four Nintendo Switch accessories that we have been able to test out from Power A. They are all well made and appear to be of a pretty high quality. I can see myself using them a lot over the months and years that I have my Switch. If you want to pick up any of these for yourself just click on the respective picture and the link will take you to where you can buy it or you can go to whatever store you so choose.

Please note: Power A sent us this product for review purposes.
