Major Nelson has revealed that Microsoft’s annual Spring sale will begin tomorrow and go through April 17. During this Spring sale there will be deals on more than 350 games, Xbox accessories, movies & TV shows, music and apps. There will be games on Xbox One and Xbox 360 that will be up to 67% off with an additional 10% off to Xbox Live Gold members. Additionally you will be able to sign in to xbox.com an go Gold for $1 for the first month of membership. While Microsoft didn’t specifically state this, I am going to operate under the assumption that you have to be a Silver member to take advantage of this deal, but who knows. Some of these games that will be available on sale will be game that participate in the Xbox Play Anywhere program where you can start playing the game on your Xbox One and then if you have to go somewhere you can pick up where you left off on the PC using Microsoft’s cloud technology.
This sale extends to some hardware as well as Xbox Design Lab controllers will also be a part of the sale. According to the trailer below you will be able to save $15 and, in my opinion, it is pretty cool that you can get a custom controller and save money at the same time. Other items will be on sale as well including other controllers and headsets.
If you are someone that wants to buy a TV show or movie then you will be able to save up to 50% on hundreds of TV shows and movies including Arrival, The Big Bang Theory, the Resident Evil Complete Collection, Ghostbusters and much more. This sale will extend to new releases to TV season passes, movie bundles and more. Interestingly Major also stated that apps like Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 and Drawboard PDF will also be included in the sale.
