E3 2017: Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle 9 Minutes of Gameplay

News: We were able to get stome hands-on time with the Mario & Rabbids crossover title and came away with some gameplay footage.

Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch in approximately two and a half months. We were able to jump in and play it for a few minutes and early impressions are fantastic. It is definitely more of a tactical game but it does it in such a way that it shouldn’t overwhelm anyone. During my short demo I quickly discovered a way to get twice as many hits in a single turn as opposed to only getting one hit a turn when I first started out.

During the demo I had control of three people. You decide where they are going to do and then when you are within attack range you can pick who to attack and how you want to do it. My favorite method was running towards an enemy and hitting them with a melee attack and then quickly retreating to cover and hitting them from afar. It seemed to work well for me although I have no doubt battles will get progressively harder as you get further into the game.
